Episode Two - DEBT with Selina Flavius

Black Girl Finance was founded in 2019 by Selina Flavius. She has created a financial coaching company dedicated to UK Black women and girls. To date she has helped hundreds of women get clear and focused on financial goals, we get our clients super comfortable, thinking about money, talking about money and taking action to reach their financial goals. We work with women who are experiencing stress and anxiety around finances they may be struggling with debt or they may be struggling to reach certain lifestyle goals they have for themselves, ie, getting on the property ladder, saving to be able to pivot careers, or start a business.

She has also contributed to discussions within the UK media (The Guardian and FT adviser) around issues such as the gender pay gap, the ethnicity pay gap and racial wealth gap.

Selina, believes that due to the intersection of the above gaps, it's more important than ever for women to take charge of their personal finances. She launched the Black Girl Finance Podcast and Black Girl Finance Festival.
